The Mountainous Banat Museum unfolded in the last five years, some projects financed by the European Union through the Cross-Border Program Romania-Serbia. The Project Patrimonium Banaticum. Multi-cultures and Multi-confessions in Banat, since 2007, has reunited Romanian and Serbian archaeologists in a scientific conference and offered the support for the publication of an album about the medieval ecclesiastic architecture of Banat and also for the paper The Ecclesiastic Geography of Medieval Banat, author PhD. D. Teicu. During 2009, the cross-border grant „Banat’s Boroughs – a European Heritage”.

The application has aimed, on the one side, at an action of cleaning, marking and signalling by multi-lingual panels the medieval fortifications in Banat and on the other side, it has offered resources for the publication of the catalogue „Minor Art in Banat” and a repertory „The Medieval Boroughs in Banat” achieved by the grant’s director, PhD Dumitru Teicu. Now, during 2011, the Mountainous Banat Museum in partnership with Vršac Museum unfolds the grant „The Caras and the Nera Valley – communication roads and civilisation passages” financed by EU funds in the framework of „Republic of Serbia IPA Cross-Border Cooperation programmes”.

We will achieve an archaeological repertory of this region, a catalogue of the folk costume and a synthesis paper about the watermill in Banat.
